Paleyfest

So I was lucky enough to attend Paleyfest tonight, and even procured a seat in the center of the second row. As such, I thought I'd share my experience. First, let me begin by saying "Wow". And honestly, that's not enough to convey how awesome this experience truly was. One of the major highlights was that they aired the director's cut of the next episode (3.14). If anyone's interested, I have spoilers for that episode plus spoilery tidbits for the show below the cut.



SPOILERS


Songs
"Hello, I Love You", Jim Morrison -Finn (in an attempt to "find himself")
"Gives You Hell", All American Rejects - Rachel (expressing certain feelings to Finn, who sits speechless while the rest of the Club joins in on a hilarious dance number)
"Hello, is it Me You're Looking For", Lionel Richie - Rachel and Jesse duet
"Highway to Hell", AC/DC - Vocal Adrenaline (I think that was the song)
"Hello Goodbye", The Beatles - New Directions (Rachel and Finn are the center piece here, folks, and Rachel walks offstage as soon as the song's over)
*There was another song sung by Will to Emma, but I can't remember

*Idina Menzel is in this one, and we see a different side to Mr. Schue as a result. Jessalyn's article is beginning to make sense . . .

*We get sweet Will/Emma, then severely angsty Will/Emma

*Rachel sure knows Finn. He'll even agree.

*At first, you want to punch Finn in the groin. Later, you feel sorry for the guy.

* Rachel has some sweet scenes with Jesse, who may or may not be what he seems.

* Sue has been reinstated as coach of the Cheerios, and she has a new plan for ND's downfall. This plan involves Rachel and a couple guys who shall remain nameless.

*Rachel's hiding a secret from her fellow Gleeks.


TIDBITS



* Kurt's dad and Finn's mom almost definitely hook up

* Lady Gaga will be sung

* Kristin Chenoweth will return in 3.16.

* Rachel and Puck will sing a couple of duets, including Billy Joel (and I think the other was Bon Jovi, but I can't remember)

* Mark is sporting a new look; he's shaved the mohawk. Apparently, Puck will be experimenting with his appearance in the back 9.

* Kurt will definitely be getting a boyfriend next season, and Ryan Murphy would like them to be a power couple

* The cheerleaders will make out (they almost did in this episode!)

*Ryan Murphy is partial to Finn/Rachel, and says there will always be Finchel undertones.

That's all I'll share for now. If anyone would like more, drop me a private line. I also took a video of the cast coming onstage that I'll post later.

These songs are awesome, especially Rachel's "Gives Them Hell." I seriously wish I had that one right now. Oh, and Jesse and Rachel's duet was superb.

There was a particularly cute part in the episode when Santana and Brittany hooked pinkies and walked down the hallway like that. They're pretty cute in this episode. ;-)

Great. Not even one decent Quinn spoiler. Or even a Artie one! URGH.

Anyway, I cannot wait for the Finn and Rachel scenes. I want him to be all upset because she's with Jessie, because he needs to open his eyes and fight for that girl!

Nope! There were no Quinn spoilers at all last night. Also according to reports, she doesn't have a single line in the first episode back either. :(

I wasn't there but from other things I read she basically says he is a scared little boy who is afraid to date the unpopular girl and that he is still hurt by Quinn but mostly he is humiliated.

He is a bit weirded out she knows him so well.

my only thing.. with all these upcoming spoilers and such popping up here and there.. NOTHING on Artie or Tina (or for that matter.. Tartie/Artina!?) makes me sad.. :(

Yay, thanks for all the info! :D It gives me something to be excited about while I'm waiting around for another month. And I've definitely given up on this whole avoiding spoilers business.

First of all: Rachel singing "Gives You Hell" sort of made my life. RACHEL, ILY. That just made me inordinately happy in all kinds of ways I can't properly articulate.

And all of this Brittany and Santana talk - I don't even know what to do with myself. ♥ Hee! I'm mostly just grinning like an idiot. So all I really have to say to that is: YESPLZ.

Only thing I'm not happy about is the serious lack of Quinn. Because she's Quinn Fabray and thus should not be on the sidelines of anything.

SO EXCITED for 'Gives You Hell'! I love when they switch it up and pair up an unlikely singer and song. I hope it's as awesome as it seems in my head. Also, I am pumped for the Rachel/Jesse duet and Vocal Adrenaline!
